Castell Roc

16th August 2018 - 2nd September 2018

Castell Roc is an annual festival held within a stunning iconic Castle in Chepstow.

The Festival caters for all ages & is priased & recognised for its relaxed & chilled out atmosphere.

“Castell Roc Festival” is located inside the oldest surviving post-Roman stone fortification in Britain. Even upon approach to Chepstow Castle with its imposing ramparts, towers and entrance, you really do tend to feel that something rather special is on the cards.

At night during the festival the Castle is transformed into a genuinely epic open air venue. The 15ft thick walls provide superb acoustics and the gently sloping aspect (towards the stage) must make this one of the most breath taking venues in the UK.

The Festival provides a really good bar with very reasonable prices, with ‘proper’ guest ales & ciders on tap as well as locally produced hot food.

All shows are standing on the well-manicured Castle lawns although guests can bring foldable chairs and sit in dedicated areas if they please.

The venue is limited to around 1200 guests, enough to create a great atmosphere, yet retain a warm & friendly ‘personal’ atmosphere.

It is this beautiful mixture of all the above that provides Castell Roc with its well talked about “relaxed intimate feel”, something often lost at outdoor Festivals & Events. Even the sun setting over the Castle walls is a spectacle in itself.
