Boyce In The Big Top

Max Boyce, the legendary Welsh singer and comedian, will be performing live at Chepstow Racecourse this Easter in association with Chepstow Plant International Ltd.

The popular entertainer will be performing on Good Friday 30th March, in our heated big top and the evening will be hosted by Welsh comedian Rod Woodward.

Max rose to fame in the mid-1970s with an act combining musical comedy with his passion for rugby union, and his origins in the mining communities of South Wales. He has sold more than two million records in a career spanning four decades. A huge new young audience has recently discovered this exceptional entertainer, taking him into their hearts and making him a true modern day folk hero.

Early bird tickets are now on sale for £26pp

Your reserved seat for the evening will be allocated upon booking. We will be filling seats from the stage back on a first come first serve basis. You will be given the best seats available at your time of booking.

These tickets are physical tickets will be sent in the post two weeks prior to the event.

All advance bookings are subject to a £2 fulfilment fee (per booking not per ticket)

Gates open at 7pm and car parking is free

The show starts at 7.30pm and ends at 10.15pm

The Racecourse is on the A466 Chepstow to Monmouth road, not far from the Severn Bridge. From the M4 East (Junction 21) or M4 West (Junction 23), take the M48 and exit at Junction 2 (Chepstow).


Why not make use of our Special Raceday Bus Service?

A bus shuttle service provided by Newport Transport operates from Chepstow train station to the Racecourse via the town’s bus station. The service also operates from Newport Station to the course.

Racegoers pay £1 each way, while those travelling from Newport pay just £5 for a return journey.

Please note that race times are subject to change, it is therefore advisable to check with Chepstow Racecourse for up-to-date times.


Chepstow station is approximately 10 minutes walk from the town centre. There are direct trains to Chepstow from Birmingham, Cardiff, Cheltenham Spa, Derby, Gloucester, Newport and Nottingham.
