Cyanotype Print Making: Full Day

Spend an in-depth day learning cyanotype print making techniques,
4th July 2020

Spend an in-depth day learning cyanotype print making techniques, the original Victorian blue print, in this full-day workshop. You’ll use seasonal plants, flowers and other items to produce original prints and a mixed media piece.

Materials for producing a print will be provided on the day or foraged from our edible garden. You are encouraged to bring any other material you’d like to print from with you, for example feathers, textiles, jewellery, or favourite flowers or leaves from your own garden.

In the morning you’ll start with a brief history of the technique and a practical introduction to the printing process. In the afternoon you’ll use some of the work created to produce a mixed media piece, using colour and over-printing.

Over the course of the day you will produce three A4 and two A5 prints to take home.

Cyanotype print making needs plenty of sunlight so this course only takes place in the summer.
