Heritage Open Days

A mixture of live and online events celebrating the heritage of the Forest of Dean.
10th September 2020 - 20th September 2020

Description

Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 organisations, 5,500 events and 46,000 volunteers. Every year in September, places across the country throw open their doors to celebrate their heritage, community and history. It’s your chance to see hidden places and try out new experiences – and it’s all FREE.

Things are different this year because of Covid-19.  However, we do have a programme of events in the Forest of Dean, some live and some online. Organised and funded by the Coleford Area MCTI Partnership there are several places for you to visit in 2020 as well as organised walks and tours of sites. There are also some videos to watch at home as well as two Hidden Heritage Apps to download to your mobile.
