Father Christmas at The Angel

Visiting Santa at The Angel has become a family tradition

7th, 8th, 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd December
On the weekends leading up to Christmas, Santa will be in his grotto outside the front of the hotel from 1.30pm - 4.00pm. 
Entry is £8 per child (inclusive of one accompanying adult). This price includes a Golden Ticket to ride through the streets of Abergavenny in Santa’s horse-drawn ‘sleigh’ (subject to weather conditions).
No booking necessary, visits to Santa and sleigh rides will be available on a first come, first served basis.
The Angel Hotel partners with K&C Horse Rescue to offer this wonderful experience.  All profits are donated to K&C Horse Rescue, helping to support their good work.
The Ultimate Sleigh Ride Only one of these ultimate rides will be available per day and must be pre-booked.  Santa and his horses will collect you from the front of the hotel at 1.00pm before embarking on 
a 30 minute tour through the town with a glass of fizz for grown-ups and hot chocolate for children.
£80 (for up to six guests, depending on age)

There is a mainline railway station, just South of the town, coming from London and Cardiff via Newport, and the North via Hereford. The railway station is a 10 - 15 minute walk from the hotel.

South of the town, the A4042 from Cardiff meets the A465 from the North and the A40 from the West. Coming into Abergavenny the main road turns right in front of the Angel. You can turn left by the side of the Hotel. At the top of the narrow lane go right and the car park entrance is immediately on the right.

The hotel car park is at the rear of the hotel. If full, use the very reasonably priced large public car park opposite (No charges apply here after 5pm or on Sunday's).

The A40 is our main approach road. Motorway standard, it links with the North-South dual-carriageway, 10 miles East. from the Midlands via Ross-on-Wye on the M50, or from London and the East, via the Severn bridges, on the M4 (junction 24).

It is a one hour drive from Cardiff and Bristol airports, 90mins. from Birmingham airport, and 2 hrs. 20mins. from Heathrow
