Two great tutors, delicious food and 2 days of learning!

The Retreat

This retreat will be a special and intimate winter warmer ukulele retreat to banish the winter blues and bridge the gap to the Uke Room's full summer Forest Ukulele Retreat.

This retreat is strictly limited to only 16 places (8 residential and 8 visiting), and you will get to spend the weekend honing your ukulele skills with two top ukulele tutors (Matt Stead & Phil Doleman: more info on the tutors at:, being taught in a very small group.

There will be lessons throughout both days covering all kinds of subjects including strumming, fingerstyle, chord melody, playing up the fretboard and exploring many genres.

For those that need accommodation that will be provided in the holiday cottages at The House of Bread and the cosy gallery space at Hot Pot Pottery (on-site) will be the venue for all Uke playing and dining!

The retreat is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Full breakfast will be provided on Sunday and Monday & lunch on Saturday & Sunday (all dietary requirements catered for.) Saturday breakfast is self-catering and Saturday eve we will go for a social meal at the local pub (and then back for some jamming!).
