Simon Morriss: An exhibition of Woodland and Hedgerow

23rd June 2018 - 5th August 2018

Simon Morriss MA SGFA

Simon studied Architecture at Sheffield University and more recently gained an MA in Fine Art at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design. He was elected a full member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art in 2016.

His work uses a variety of media including pen and ink, watercolour and acrylic. He enjoys working across a range of subject matter but is consistently inspired by the natural world influenced perhaps by growing up in the countryside of the New Forest. This exhibition goes back to exploring his love of woodland experienced through a number of locations.

His work has been shown with the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, in the Royal Watercolour Society Contemporary Watercolour Exhibition and the Royal West of England Academy.

He lives and works in Gloucestershire
