Have you been here recently? Add your review - click here!Lovely shop, plenty to see. Well spaced out for prams, wheelchairs etc in the shop area. Nice play area in the cafe, although not big enough for the amout of toddlers as parents like to sit close by to watch their child. Also for safety if there are hot drinks on the table a high table would be better than the low one that is there, although the bucket seats are comfy the chairs like in the rest of the restaurant are also comfy. An area for prams would be good too if you dont need them while little one was eating maybe? When entering the cafe with pram or wheelchairs if people are sitting eating then there is not enough room to get through without disturbing them. Outside play area lovely but again if people are sitting outside (there is seating inside in the cafe) its a bit tight for prams/wheelchairs and kids can escape quickly into the garden centre area or onto the bridge as no gate. Toilets in the main restaurant area could do with updating (nappy bin been broken since well before christmas) plus again if you need to get past with a wheelchair its very tight past tables. I am not putting this place down as the staff are always helpful and friendly and the food is lovely, just one or 2 things which I feel let it down a little. Jan 26th 2012 by C D in Gloucester Thank you very much for your feedback - both positive and constructive. We are carefully considering each of your points and where possible will take action to make improvements for the benefit of all our customers. The children's play areas on site, within the Gallery Restaurant and outside the Plantation Café, are very popular, and we do our best to provide as much seating nearby for parents as we can. Our wheelchair access to the Gallery Restaurant is via the Carvery door (rather than the Conservatory door)- this is a very spacious route, and we would recommend it for larger prams/pushchairs too. We have 2 disabled toilets on site - one inside the restaurant area and one located outside the restaurant entrance (the baby change is located within the inside one, the nappy bin has now been repaired). We are very sorry that you have found some elements of your visit disappointing, but would once again like to thank you for taking the time to offer your feedback. We are of course delighted that you find our staff members friendly and our food lovely, and have passed this on to our team. We look forward to welcoming you to 3 Shires again soon.
