Colne Brook Barn
Self Catering in or near Lydney

A secluded, two bedroomed barn conversion with full kitchen and bathroom and large, private garden situated on the edge of the Forest of Dean.

Colne Brook Barn is approached by parking in private grounds and following an attractive pathway with wooden steps and a bridge over Colne Brook.  Converted in 2005 by the previous owner to a very high standard, we have enjoyed building on that standard to create a comfortable, welcoming holiday home - whether you are looking for a base to explore the South West, a walking holiday, attending horse racing events or simply some rest and relaxation!

We all loved our weeks holiday at Colne Brook Barn.
When we arrived, we were welcomed by the owners and shown to the Barn. Outside, it had the ideal enclosed setting for our dogs. (& our barbecues!!). In the adjacent fenced field we made good friends with its residents, Peggy and Jasper, two beautiful horses who coincidently :) arrived at breakfast and tea time for the apples we gave them.
The Barn was clean, nicely decorated and extremely well equipt in all rooms and very comfortably furnished - a real home from home. The welcome pack of bread, milk, butter etc was a very nice touch. It's even got Sky TV and broadband which was perfect for us. For relaxing moments (or when it rains) there are also board games and books etc to chose from. We did find that we couldnt get a signal for our O2 mobiles in the barn but managed to get one outside so no problem.
We had a very relaxing stay, really enjoyed ourselves and all of us including our dogs would highly recommend a holiday at Colne Brook Barn.
