We have been regular visitors to the Forest since th 1960s,my wife was actually born and spent her youth in the area,so we have a deep fondness for the FOD,Unfortunately our friend with whom we used to stay,is no longer living in the county,after having stayed at differing self catering establishments since she left ,all quite nice ,We found GLENWOOD,It is perfect for all our needs,Joan and Keith make us feel so much at home,our two dogs,love the welcome they receive,and within 2 minutes they are in the forest itself,all those trees what more does a canine desire, We are hoping to visit at least three times this year,the 1st in February ,you can keep all the foreign places ,glenwood to us is perfect.

We have just returned from Glenwood, we had a week in October,our home is in Suffolk and this last stay 
was our 7th in Glenwood. 
My Wife and i can only say how much we really appreciate the warm welcome that Joan & Keith the owners 
of this property show towards us. 
Glenwood is very comfortable well equiped and very moderately priced, set amongst all the places of interest like 
Symonds Yat. Forrest of Dean. and South Wales all with very easy access what more could you ask. 
Glenwood is still our favourite place.
