TOP QUALTY !!!!!!!! This bed and breakfast is amazing, so peaceful and relaxing and Caroline, the owner is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. She even provided an ordnance survey map to help us. I also have a dairy intolerance and she went out of her way to accommodate my problem. The Hayloft room is fabulous with gorgeous garden views and everything is provided in the room (Even shoe cleaning equipment and there are nail brushes/ cotton wool balls / tissues in the bathroom !! ), so thoughtful.The breakfasts are to die for and you MUST try her tropical fruit, sooooo DELICIOUS !! This establishment is the best we have ever stayed in.What can I say FANTASTIC !!!

I have just returned from a four day stay at Lea House. Caroline was very welcoming to us which was helpful as my mother was very tired when we arrived. The bedroom was lovely and fully equipped with everything we could need. The food was delicious especially the fruit platter and the choice of cooked breakfasts, and I enjoyed the home made bread and scrumptios marmalade. Caroline was very helpful in advising us about where we could go and what we could see, and made leaflets and maps available to us. I vey much enjoyed my stay and would definitely consider coming again should I visit this part of the country.

We have stayed with Caroline on many occasions on our way to and from Cornwall. We are always assured of excellent accommodation, a warm welcome and really excellent evening meals! Many of her vegetables come from her garden, so they couldn't be fresher! Very much our preferred overnight stop!

Our second visit to Lea House in two yers. All expectations fulfilled. Fabulous food. Spoilt for choice at brekkers - with that rare delight, a genuinely 'lite' Full English! For Chas, the porridge becme a 'must' whilst Jen couldn't get enough of the mixed fruit platter. As for the fish, yummy! The companionable, crazy kittens were a bonus. We'll be back.

When approaching Lea House it strikes you as a very attractive, well maintained property, surrounded by a lovely garden at the entrance-side of the house. Upon arrival Caroline is extremely welcoming and accommodating. Although all of the information you require is kindly provided in a folder in each of the rooms, Caroline is more than happy to advise you on places to visit and on the nicest eating establishments in the area. These range from the inexpensive with good food to those restaurants you might want spend a little extra for a special occasion. The rooms and en-suite bathrooms are very comfortable, clean and maintain many of the original features of the old Coach Inn, which reflects the charm of the building. For breakfast, there is certainly a broad choice and hearty selection of foods. Morning meals are consistently delicious and are often comprised from local and homemade ingredients. Apart from the fantastic service and accommodation, the B&B is situated in a great location, from which you can visit numerous tourist attractions. As a result, I have booked in and stayed at Caroline’s Lea House B&B on more than one occasion and would do so again. I highly recommend this B&B, so it gets 5 stars from me.

The first thing you'll notice is the very warm welcome and feeling you get that you are in someone's home and not just another B & B. Our two night stay recently in the Hayloft was extremely comfortable and the reputation for great food is well deserved. We'll stay again when next in the area.

Caroline provides everything you could want in a B&B: wonderful hospitality, very comfortable accommodation, plentiful very useful advice on where to visit, what to see, where to eat and drink(and where not to), cheerful and interesting conversation, and, of course, historic breakfasts (the smoked haddock with poached egg cannot be recommended too highly, so good, in fact, that I had to order it on 3 mornings out of 4)! 
 
Lea House is very well-located for exploring the Forest of Dean, Ross on Wye, Hay on Wye, Gloucester, Hereford and beyond, including Bath, Cheltenham and Monmouth and the black and white villages.  
 
We are sure the allure of the smoked haddock will entice us back very soon.....

We recently stayed at Lea House.Delighted to say we had a wonderful time.The hospitality and Lea House were superb.It is a credit to Caroline and obvious that she puts a great deal of effort into making sure that standards are high and yet this is combined with a very comfortable and enjoyable feeling. 
Caroline has a very good knowledge of the area and was happy to share this with us. 
We shall certainly return,have also mentioned Lea House to our friends. 
 

We had a wonderful time staying here over Valentines weekend. The room was very cozy and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic! Caroline was great help in things to do and see, and we had a lot of fun. Thanks for making our trip a great one.
