Andy Jopson has created a truly outstanding Indian restaurant out of the rather plain old Forge Hammer Pub. The first time we ate there, I was taken aback by the standard of the food - it is a real gourmet Indian experience, unlike any other Indian food I have been offered in this country. Then Andy explained that he had especially brought his chefs over from Delhi. Well, he certainly picked them well. Try the King Prawn Laziz (big, succulent prawns in a tasty sauce) and Pindi Channa (whole chickpeas with tomato) - no ordinary chicken vindaloo here! I thoroughly recommend it.
