Herefordshire Festival gives £100,000 to charities
Linton Festival organisers have proudly announced that they have smashed through the £100,000 barrier in fund raising and donations to local charities.
“Last year our six nominated local charities benefited from a whopping £8,800 in sponsorship and donations raised by the festival.” Said festival chairman David Lambert. “Of course, we couldn’t do it without the generous support of our local business sponsors who help to cover part of our overheads and advertise in our festival programme.”
“Now in its 19th year, Herefordshire’s best loved 3-day music event returns on the weekend of Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th July.
Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy fantastic international bands and artists, not to mention over 40 real ales, ciders and great food, while raising money for local charities!”
Linton Festival is a not for profit community event, run by volunteers and is held in the grounds of The Alma Inn, Linton near Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7RY, which won CAMRA’s Herefordshire pub of the year in 2018. Full camping facilities are located right behind the site, within walking distance to the main stage.
Headline acts this year include The Manfreds, Limehouse Lizzie, The Slambovian Circus of Dreams and The Amy Winehouse Experience, as well as a host of other amazing bands and artists playing rhythm n blues to rock & pop.
“Tickets can be purchased for just one day, for all three days and with camping if you’d like to stop over and make a weekend of it.” Said David Lambert. “Please help us to continue helping to support local charities just by coming along and having a great summer weekend at Linton!”
