British Wildlife Photography Awards 2017
7th November - 7th January
Nature in Art are proud to have been the first venue to show the latest British Wildlife Photography Awards exhibition after its official launch in London since the inception of the competition in 2009. This year we are continuing the tradition with the exhibition opening at Nature in Art on Tuesday 7th November, just the day after the official launch and winners announcement taking place at London's Mall Galleries on Monday 6th November.
Although, for obvious reasons, we cannot comment on specific images until after the launch, we can report that this year's entries are as spectacular as ever. The winning images were chosen from thousands of entries in fifteen separate categories including a special film category for Wildlife in HD Video and two junior categories to encourage young people to connect with nature through photography.
Through evocative and powerful imagery, this exhibition will again showcase the very best of our nature photography and as well as being a celebration of the photographers' skill, can help encourage greater awareness, discovery, exploration, conservation and enjoyment of our natural heritage.
So whether you are an art appreciator interested in colour, composition and interpretation or a photographer facinated by subject, the appropriate application of technique and technology or a nature lover intrigued by new perspectives of the familiar or fresh insights into the unfamiliar, there is something for everyone.
