Walk down to the River Wye; through ancient woods thick with bluebells in Spring; or across open fields with glorious views of the surrounding countryside. You might even try part of the Offa’s Dyke or Wye Valley footpaths. After your walk, it’s only a 300-yard stroll to the local pub, next to the castle. If you enjoy cycling, there’s secure storage and information to help you explore the cycle routes through the forest
If you prefer to stay by the cottage, you have access to six acres of fields. Alternatively you might just want to enjoy a drink in the cottage courtyard, watching the sunset over the distant Brecon Beacons.
