Description

Beechenhurst lies in the heart of the forest, and is a great place to start your adventure. Discover the Sculpture Trail, play area, cafe, shop and climbing tower. Maps are available from the shop and a loft suitable for group bookings can all be hired.   • Beechenhurst is the starting point for the famous Sculpture Trail, there are three additional waymarked walks starting from the visitor centre.
  • There is easy access onto the Family Cycle Trail from the main Beechenhurst car park. Cyclists are asked to keep to hard stone tracks and not to cycle on the forest's waymarked footpaths.
  • The main play area has recently undergone refurbishment with a new zip wire and picnic area installed. There is a separate toddler area for our younger visitors.
  • The cafe provides a range of wholesome food with new items added to the menu each month. Coach parties should book with the cafe in advance on 01594 827357.
  • Forest of Dean Adventure Ltd are based at Beechenhurst and operate the climbing tower and archery. The climbing tower has 36 routes from easy to extreme and 2 vertical abseils. Test your skills as an archer and our trained staff will get you shooting for Gold! Both are great for children and adults, friends, families and group bookings.

Opening Times: 8.00am - 5.00pm

The closing time of the site varies throughout the year; it will be later during summer months.  The shop and cafe will normally have a more restricted time, particularly during the winter.
