Recently renovated and restored 2 Church Cottages is steeped in history. Huge oak beams and thick stone walls flank an imposing inglenook fireplace housing a Clearview wood burner.

A warm, cosy cottage is finished and furnished to a very high standard, crisp Egyptian cotton sheets and plump pillows and duvets adorn the beds, a large bath with shower and a fully equipped kitchen with integrated appliances and Nespresso machine, wi-if and smart TVs make for a luxury stay.

The cottage also benefits from secure bike storage, a good sized enclosed garden with decking area, BBQ and table and chairs.

A welcome hamper along with all the essential you may need such as tea, coffee, bedding and towels are provided.

Conveniently located a short stroll from Clearwell Castle, the Butchers Arms and the Lamb pub and for a luxury dining experience The Tudor Farm House. Ideal walking and cycling base for exploring the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, South East Wales and slightly further afield Gloucester, Cheltenham, Hereford and Bristol are under an hours drive away.

Dogs are very welcome.

From Bristol.  Take the M48 towards Chepstow, leave M48 at Chepstow and follow A466 signed Tintern and Monmouth. Continue along the A466 through Tintern and Llandogo. At Bigsweir Bridge take the turning right and proceed up the hill towards Coleford. Ignore the turning right at Mork for St Briavels village and proceed up the hill to Stowe Green. Pass Clearwell Quarry on your left and proceed until you reach a staggered cross road. Turn left signed Clearwell. Proceed into the village passing Clearwell Castle. The cottage is next door to the church and directly opposite Clearwell Primary School.

From Monmouth.  Leave the A40 at Monmouth, crossing the River Wye follow the A466 signed Tintern and Chepstow. As you enter Redbrook village take the first left signed Newland and Clearwell. Follow this road for several miles, passing through Newland and on into Clearwell. When you reach the heart of the village at The Cross, pass 'The Clearwell' (formerly the Wyndham Arms) and the cottage is located on your right, next door to the church directly opposite Clearwell Primary School.

From Gloucester.  Take the A40 towards Huntley then A4136 for Mitcheldean, stay on this road until you reach the outskirts of Coleford then fork off at Edge End onto the B4028 still following signs for Coleford. When you reach the main traffic lights in Coleford town turn left onto B4428 proceed along this road for approx one mile, pass Puzzlewood and at the junction with the Lambsquay Hotel turn right towards Clearwell. Proceed into the village passing The Butchers Arms and Tudor Farm House. Turn left at the cross and the cottage is on your right next door to the church and directly opposite Clearwell Primary School.

Parking is on the roadside outside the cottage.
