Newent in Bloom
Attraction in Newent

Visit our lovely historic market town with its lovely old buildings and individual shops.

Winners of the Heart of England in Bloom GOLD award for the past 2 years and a regional award for work with community NEWENT IN BLOOM has done a great deal of wonderful work not only in the town centre but also in many other areas. All 3 schools are heavily involved with their own projects as well all many community groups. There is a very keen local garden competition and also a thriving shop window contest.  There are many other attractions this summer with many of them as part of the NEWENT FESTIVAL that commences on Friday July 3rd.

Newent Lake and Arboretum are tranquil spots for a leisurely peaceful walk whist other places of interest are the historic 17th C Market Hall that has become the town's trademark. There are 2 highly acclaimed WALK BOOKS that can be purchased from local newsagents.

Newent celebrates its musician of the 60's Joe Meek with an annual JOE MEEK MEMORIAL CONCERT on October 3rd with the guest appearance of Mike Berry and the Outlaws.
