Pottery beginner classes and painting sessions
Never tried pottery before? Don’t worry there are a range of trial sessions and beginner classes available in the area. It is a great way for all the family to express creativity, try something new and discover who the true potter is. Workshops include learning to throw pottery and painting pottery. Harts Barn Cookery School offers cooking courses for all inclinations. Technical teens might like cake decorating, fish fans sushi making or those that want to cook together harmoniously can join a family class and learn to cook a three-course meal. There are also Gourmet BBQ and cooking with fire classes to learn how to cook outdoors with style.
Rural Skills – Humble by Nature
Get hands on and experience a slice of rural life at this farm owned by TV presenter Kate Humble. Teens can have a go at courses such as cyanotype print making during which blue prints can be made from leaves, flowers or other quirky shaped items brought along.
Snap like a pro – David Broadbent Photography
It’s easier than ever to take a good photo with today’s smart phones, but there’s still a lot of skill required to be a good photographer. David Broadbent runs bespoke one-to-one classes for teens, accompanied by an adult, and will teach them how to get the most out of their camera or smart phone device.
