Everyone needs a break from their devices now and again. Put down the phones, turn off the computers and escape to the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley. And, after a good dose of fresh air, adventure and quality family time, return home with less FOMO and more JOMO (Joy of Missing Out)!
Off Road Teen Driving Experience – Whitecliff 4x4
Teens don’t need to wait until they’re 17 - 14 to17-year-olds can experience the ultimate 4x4 off-road driving experience here. With one-to-one tuition from an expert instructor they’ll tackle difficult inclines and slippery declines while navigating some tricky obstacles. You may not be on a public road but this is no place for phones! Teens can try the experience alone or book in the whole family.
Back to nature glamping - Mad Dogs & Vintage Vans
Get back to nature in these classic vans converted into quirky cabins, including “Monty”, a military wagon from the Second World War that is ideal for a family of five. Tents can be pitched next to the vans to give teens some privacy from annoying younger siblings and those much-needed lie-ins! Free from Wi-Fi and no TVs in sight, everyone can enjoy simple in-the-moment activities such as preparing meals together, cooking over the campfire, star gazing, skimming stones on the river and even tennis at the on-site courts.
Activity fuelled escapes – Wye Canoes
Nobody will want to check their phones when enjoying one of these jam-packed experiences (also helped by a lack of signal on location). Combine canoeing with gorge scrambling for a fun, phone-free day with all the family. Go one step further with an overnight bushcraft and canoeing experience - learn how to craft fire, build a shelter and survive in a wilderness without wifi.
